A practical shortlist for Eagle Beach and beyond

Updated September 2026

Best overall plan: Choose Yemanja for the food, Passions for an Eagle Beach sunset, and Papiamento for the classic Aruba atmosphere. These popular restaurants are worth reserving before your trip.

Recommended Restaurants

Restaurant Best for Price
Yemanja Woodfired Grill Best overall food; wood-grilled seafood and steaks $$$
Passions on the Beach Romantic sunset dinner directly on Eagle Beach $$$$
Papiamento Classic Aruba experience in a poolside courtyard $$$$
Lima Bistro Creative Peruvian-Caribbean cuisine and marina views $$$
Wilhelmina Upscale dinner in a tropical garden $$$$
The West Deck Casual local Caribbean food beside the water $$-$$$
Quinta del Carmen Courtyard dining with Dutch-Caribbean cooking $$$
Flying Fishbone Special-occasion dinner beside or in the water $$$$
Azia Sushi and Asian-Caribbean food in lively Palm Beach $$$
Zeerover Fresh, no-frills local seafood in Savaneta $$

My Top Five

1. Yemanja Woodfired Grill

My first choice for food quality. Order a wood-fired fish, tenderloin or daily special. It also accommodates many dietary restrictions.

2. Passions on the Beach

The most convenient romantic choice near Eagle Beach. Reserve about 30 to 45 minutes before sunset and request a front-row beach table.

Website and reservations

3. Papiamento

The quintessential Aruba dinner: a historic house, tropical courtyard and tables around the pool. It is currently open Monday through Saturday and closed Sunday.

4. Lima Bistro

One of Aruba’s strongest chef-driven restaurants, combining Peruvian flavors with Caribbean ingredients. Try the ceviche and share several dishes.

5. Wilhelmina

An excellent anniversary or elegant-evening choice, with a downtown tropical garden and refined international dishes with Caribbean influence. It is currently closed Monday.

Two More Worth Knowing

The West Deck. Choose this for a relaxed lunch or dinner, Caribbean small plates and waterfront views. Visit The West Deck.

Flying Fishbone. Choose this for the memorable feet-in-the-water experience. Water tables are limited and are currently connected to the 4:00 p.m. seating. Visit Flying Fishbone.

Reservation Notes

  • Reserve sunset and special-occasion restaurants well in advance.
  • Request your preferred setting explicitly: beach-front, garden, courtyard, deck or water table.
  • Confirm current hours, dress code and seating policies directly with the restaurant.
  • Price symbols are relative guides: $$ casual, $$$ moderately expensive and $$$$ special occasion.

Information and operating details can change. Check the linked restaurant websites before traveling.
